Elven Army
The basic army material of the elven army is forest colored clothes (brown, black, green, ect.) with a cloak. On average, the army is broken down into three distinct sects; The Kir'bar (elite), the Nor'bar(magic users), and the Fey'bar(common warrior). Each of these in turn is broken down into it's own system.
Kir'bar
The Kir'bar are Edilar's elite fighters, consisting of multi-class fighters. An example of this is the Royal Guard, trained by the Norben Brotherhood and Navelorn. The Kir'bar combine steel and their other abilities, making a very powerful friend or foe. The Kir'bar are usually leaders of groups of fighters, broken down into small sects.
Nor'bar
The Nor'bar are the magic users and the priests of Edilar. Combining clerical and magic powers to invoke great beings and forces of nature upon the enemy. There are usually at least 1 Nor'bar under every Kir'bar.
Fey'bar
The Fey'bar are the rangers, archers, ect. of the elven army. There are usually 5 Fey'bar per Kir'bar, or more as the need arises.
The Kir'bar are broken down into 3 distinct types-
Fighter/mage- These elves combine magic and steel to get achieve their goals. Usually strong and intelligent, these fighters can hold their own in battle; magical or steel.
Fighter/cleric- Favored by their god, these elves lead a holy battle against their enemies. Usually calling down godly powers upon their enemies, then finishing them off with steel.
Fighter/theif- Theses advanced scouts are most needed for guerilla tactics and stealth missions. Their combined tactics with other classes make them a valuable fighting force.
Nor'bar have only 2 groups, the cleric and the mage. There are specialties of each one, but overall these beings are pretty straight forward.
Fey'bar are broken into 5 groups, each with their own subsection-
Navy- The elven navy is extremely powerful with fast ships and powerful weapons. Using spellcasters to speed a raker, the elven Navy is the most powerful of the races to sail. The Rakers are fast, but slender. This shows the elves drive for quality not quantity. While each Raker is capable of handling a ship 1.5 times their size. They are quite small for a military vessel There really ARE no other military on Blood Lake, though. The elves do not allow other warships on the lake, only fishing vessels.
Direct Military-
This group consists of the fighters of the populace. The common weapons (as stated in the PHB) are the short sword, short bow, and long sword. This part makes up about ¼ of the populace.
Covert-
As can be imagined, these are the thieves and rangers of the elves. Being able to track the enemy and infiltrate them to find out important information, this group is also good at sneaking through enemy lines, subduing enemies, and backstabs (thieves).
Ranged-
These are the archers of the elves. Ranging from stealth archers to shortbow men, theses elves are the most accurate with the bow compared to any of the other classes.
Mounted-
The mounted calavary is split into two groups, aerial and ground. On the ground, the elves ride mostly horses, riding them bareback and with little armor if any. In the air, the elves ride on Griffon, Eagle, or Hawk back. However, the aerial fighters have not been seen for many years due to the lack of mounts.
